The Contract Manufacturing division operates within a growing industrial sector and is based upon solid design engineering, lean manufacturing, and top quality assurance. In co-operation with our customers we successfully integrate process and technology to deliver a competitive product solution. Contract manufacturing provides strategically creative and advanced manufacturing methodology, through concurrent engineering and close liaison with our customers. This transfers the customer's vision into reality. We are a global supplier of fabricated sheet metal which caters to industries such as aerospace, food, rail and subway cars, municipal infrastructure and many others. Our welders are certified to meet customers' requirements. We work with a variety of metals including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
Processes
Bourque Industrial Contract Manufacturing is capable of a variety of CNC processes, including:
Laser cutting, plasma cutting, punching, bending (press brake forming), various welding processes, sandblasting and painting.
Adding to this list, is pulsed MIG welding, TIG welding, Spot welding, Stud welding, and tapping.
Vision
Bourque Industrial Contract Manufacturing (BICM) is committed to being a leader in steel fabrication on a global market and a preferred supplier for research and development. To achieve our strategic vision we must meet or exceed our customer requirements. We will realize this goal by establishing and maintaining outstanding Quality and a Quality Management System. Every employee at BICM is dedicated to providing a defect-free product following established procedures, thereby delivering superior products and services to our valued customers.
Quality
Bourque Industrial Contract Manufacturing is ISO 9001:2000 certified. We will actively pursue ever improving quality through programs that enable each employee to do their job right the first time and every time.
Reverse Engineering
Upon customer demands, we deconstruct existing products and analyze its workings in detail, and completing 3D modeling utilizing CAD software for ease of manufacturing.
Research and Development
By investigating new products and processes we maintain leading edge technology enabling our company a distinct advantage over less equipped companies.
The process used to manufacture existing products must also be refined to maximize efficiency. This involves identifying wasteful areas of a product, implementing a change, and monitoring the results. This ensures a product is being produced as efficiently as possible.
Prototype
We are able to complete a fully functional prototype on products large or small; from a single part to large weldments containing hundreds of parts. The customer uses the prototype to evaluate the fit, form and function of a design; we use the prototype to establish the mass production process and determine any problem areas that will require special attention.
Modifications and Enhancements to Existing Products
We are able to improve the finished product in any number of areas including ease of manufacturing, material usage and ease of assembly. Parts may also be modified to achieve maximum utilization of our advanced production equipment and processes. All of these changes contribute to cost savings and increased quality. No change is made without proper consent from the customer to ensure no aspect of a product is compromised.
